Jeremy Giambi was a professional baseball player who primarily played as a designated hitter and outfielder in Major League Baseball (MLB). He was born on September 30, 1974, in San Jose, California. Giambi was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 6th round of the 1996 MLB Draft and made his MLB debut in 1998.
Giambi played for several MLB teams during his career, including the Kansas City Royals, Oakland Athletics, Philadelphia Phillies, and Boston Red Sox. He is best known for his time with the Oakland Athletics, where he played alongside his brother, Jason Giambi, from 2000 to 2002.
Giambi struggled with injuries and off-field issues throughout his career, which ultimately led to his retirement from professional baseball in 2005. He finished his career with a .263 batting average, 52 home runs, and 209 RBIs in 520 games.
After retiring from baseball, Giambi has kept a relatively low profile and has stayed out of the public eye.
